Working in the field for over 30 years, over 10 years independently licensed, I recognize that the search for a therapist can be overwhelming. I believe that by the time someone is seeking a therapist they are generally amidst some difficulty in their life. You are generally looking for someone that will not necessarily validate your current position but challenge you to work through this difficult time and learn the skills and gather the tools to better handle difficult situations that may reenter your life in the future.
I am a Board Certified Tele- Mental Health provider and as a DRCC member, volunteer during some of the most difficult times we may experience locally, such as Super-storm Sandy. I do not isolate my skills by identifying with any specific therapeutic model, rather am more inclined to maintain the ability to offer my clients a vast array of tools, resources and evidenced based techniques that will empower them and assist them in returning to their lives.
I have worked alongside local government, and with local nonprofits enabling me to offer you resources not often available in the conventional treatment model.
