Hi there! I’m Shannon Scibor, a licensed professional counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University, which I earned in early 2020.
I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults and have experience addressing various mood disorders, anxiety, depression, as well as high-risk behaviors such as suicidal ideation and self-injury, and school avoidance. My background includes working in diverse settings, including partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, and intensive in-community services.
My aim is to create a warm and supportive environment where you can openly explore your thoughts and feelings. I integrate person-centered therapy to truly listen and understand you, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address negative thought patterns, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to develop skills for managing emotions and improving relationships.
